BOOK MARKETING
Marketing a book used to mean traipsing around doing author signings in book stores and trying to get media interviews with magazine editors, TV presenters and radio stations.
All this meant spending a lot of wasted time and money.
But now the internet allows you to do your book marketing online which is not only fast, it's free.
Some people like to call it a virtual book tour but I disagree with this term.
Online marketing isn't virtual, it's real.
It takes time and effort to do, although not nearly as much as the old way of marketing. And it won't leave you physically exhausted.
and not only does online book marketing not cost any money, but you can market to thousands of people instantly whereas a book store signing means only marketing to the handful of people that are there.
Of course not all online marketing is free, but I personally prefer to use the plethora of free methods that are available, and it's never let me down yet.
